We have alliances with different companies such as the epayco payment gateway, shipping companies such as enviolick and my package. We have been working with Fenalco Meta, Chamber of Commerce of Villavicencio, Ministry of Tics and Gran San Mall. We have been doing different activities with local entrepreneurs, such as workshops, events and trainings to attract the public that is not yet online. 90% of our operation and users arrive through a digital channel. We seek to apply this strategy to consolidate ourselves in Colombia and enter Mexico and Chile.

Include brief bio of team members. | Angelica Bohorquez , CEO - Founder Soy profesional en Administración de empresas, cuando me decidí a estudiar tenía en mi mente trabajar en una multinacional o alguna gran corporación. Nunca pensé estar fundando una startup de tecnología y menos estar rodeada de desarrolladores de software todo el dia. Unos meses después de iniciar Komercia.co participamos en un Google Developers Launchpad y en Apps.co, programa del Gobierno de Colombia donde fuimos ganadores del premio a proyecto con mayor tracción en nuestra región. También participamos una parte del equipo de Komercia en AngelHack Series Bogota 2017 y ganamos el reto propuesto por Rappi. Yo no programo, pero he tenido que aprender de servidores, frameworks y tecnología, es un mundo completamente diferente. Todas esas cosas extrañas que antes no tenía idea, hoy en dia me siento orgullosa de todo lo que hemos logrado como equipo y de estar rodeada de personas tan talentosas y diferentes, cada día aprendiendo algo nuevo.
¿Como iniciamos? Iniciamos como una empresa de desarrollo de software a la medida, solo era Gustavo al inicio quien se encarga de programar. Angélica se encontraba trabajando en la Cámara de Comercio, cuando aún estaba en la universidad. Ella, al dejar ese trabajo y con la experiencia que había adquirido, se unió y formamos equipo, necesitábamos una persona con perfil administrativo, que conociera el proceso de trabajar con empresarios, que nos ayudará a gestionar negocios y dirigir la empresa, ella era la indicada. Crecer fue algo inesperado, a medida que resultaba más trabajo, se contratan algunas personas, muchos de ellos empezaron a quedar en el equipo, el cual fue el caso de Diego, Cristian y Julio. Identificamos que nuestros clientes y personas con las que charlabamos, muchos de ellos tenían la intención de vender por internet pero contaban muchas frustraciones, falta de conocimiento y temores para hacerlo. Empezamos haciendo tiendas a la medida, pero luego decidimos iniciar un MVP para automatizar este proceso, el cual fue creciendo más rápido de lo que esperábamos y vimos que era un mundo más grande de lo que imaginamos, con muchas cosas por aprender pero a la vez un mercado gigantesco y casi sin límites, donde podíamos ganar dinero y a la vez ayudar a pequeños empresarios. Esto nos llevó a Google Launchpad y otros programas, se han logrado hacer grandes alianzas, obtener dinero para capital semilla y concretar buenos negocios para seguir avanzando.
Tenemos un mentor Diego Coy - Google Developer Expert. Lo conocimos en un Google Launchpad en Bogotá al que fuimos invitados hace un par de años. Nos ayuda en la parte técnica de la plataforma, específicamente en arquitectura, patrones de diseño, frontend y todo lo que nos ayude a mejorar la tecnología y herramientas que usamos. Cada cierto tiempo tenemos reuniones presenciales o virtuales con el equipo de desarrollo, además de acercarnos a otros desarrolladores con mucha experiencia para recibir retroalimentación y a participar en diferentes eventos de las comunidades. |
